Question by r_dooba: I had a couple of bunnies with “cancer” or something on them- what is it?
See the video I made of them on youtube( http://youtube.com/watch?v=MsTBtr00iFs ) btw, this is not porn or adult in any way- but the question is, what causes this to happen (is there something I should be worried about like a chemical spill or something that might cause them to be so messed up?) The odd skin growth around th face and neck are the prominant marks. Other than that, they are just bunnies (hopping and eating all day). Thanks. dooba

Are these rabbits that were born in your rabbitry?
Possible cannibal injuries from the mom, other is birth defect.
The may be eating but the one in the movie appears to be in poor health by the looks of it’s fur. Are they being fed by you or just getting by with what they can find?
Is the animal breeding and having off spring with the same abnormality? If so, suggest you stop the lineage.

I do not think that is cancerous. By the video, it is hard to tell, BUT, it looks like that poor bunny has had something placed around it’s neck that was too tight. A rubber band perhaps? Maybe a very tight collar?
I have seen this happen to mistreated dogs, something is placed around the neck very tightly for years….to the point that it cuts into the skin, and the skin heals, and this process repeats over and over until the skin begins to grow over the object, only very infected and mishapen.

    Get that bunny looked at.
