Answer by Cotoneaster Jay
Please don’t worry too much. This is a horrible thing for you to go through but you are in good hands as the doctors treat you.

It is most likely that your treatment will be highly effective and you will be able to resume a normal life.

When you find yourself in a dark and lonely place, remember you are not alone. God promised us that He would never leave us. Talk to Him about your fears.

Are you a quack? I don’t think this salve eliminates basal cell carcinoma–does it? If it truly does, why would anybody go through Mohs surgery????

Very interesting metrhod. I guess this can only be applied in early stages when a patient notices something is different. There is more information on skin and other types of cancer at Symposier site for physicians interested in related topics like you, or you can even share your own knowledge to other physicians.

Thanks once again. The black salve is much more powerful than I demonstrate, too. It is truly a phenomenal cancer treatment.

  6. ShushLorraine says:

I have friends who have used the black salve for cysts that are INside the body. It pulled them out through the skin. I’m glad to know how this salve treats the good skin. I’ve wondered about that.

It’s very treatable if caught early don’t worry.

This is something you should be asking your Dr about.

Just because you are only 13, does not mean you don’t have a right to ask questions about your treatment.

This may involve nothing more than surgery to remove the melanoma or could require more extensive surgery, chemotherapy, radiation.

Without details of your case no-one can say for sure.

Ask questions, you have a right to understand what is going to happen to you.

  10. Orion says:

Yes, it can be very scary. Talking with your parents and doctors, getting answers to your questions, becoming more informed will help to ease some of the fears. At 13 I believe you are old enough to participate in the doctor discussions so please encourage your parents to keep you involved.

You did not provide any details such as staging, location, or type of treatment. There are some good websites to keep you informed, see below. As your parents to log into MPIP with you as there is a chat room where other Melanoma survivors and care givers will talk with you. It helps to hear that there are others that share your fears, concerns and questions.

Finally, don’t get to into the statistics. They are just averages and often misunderstood. The 3rd website will help understand medical statistics if you are interested. Also there are some good books you might want to read.

Listen to Orion, he gave you some very good advice. I too am a melanoma survivor (stage 2). My treatment only consisted or surgery to remove the melanoma. I didn’t have to have chemo or radiation. You need to talk to your doctor about your treatment. it is completely understandable for you to want to know what is going on with your treatment. Even if you are 13. This is your body and your life.

It is completely normal to be scared. Every one is when they get diagnosed. You will get through this. You have family and friends who will be there for you are support you any way you can. You just have to believe that everything is going to be fine.

here are some websites that I found useful when I got diagnosed:
