Question by the who: What causes most car problems to happen? Bad maintenance, bad luck, or just age?
Is it possible to bring your car into the mechanic when it’s absolutely fine just to thoroughly check it out and tell you what looks like it might have to be replaced in the future, and what looks okay, and basically to help prevent any major damage?

I mean no one wants blown head gaskets, or a completely failed engine or even the transmission to go, but these things and more happen very frequently.

The thing is, I always keep my fluids checked, and up, and get my oil changed and even clean out my tank with fuel injection fluids, power it up a little with high octaine fluids, and really try to just take good care of it, get it checked out so that I can rest assured that nothing is wrong with it,

then like a few weeks down the road, something happens like the transmission goes, or a radiator blows and springs a leak, which affects this and that and this and that…

it’s almost like cars just go bad no matter what we do, and I just have no idea if I should just expect to pour money into cars repeatedly over and over and over again, or some type of a maintenance might help?

How can you prevent major car problems, like blown head gaskets and the such?

What makes the driving and timing belts go?

Can you spot a problem with that before it goes?

It’s just that my car’s at the shop like every year multiple times and I’m sick of it, while some other people’s cars never get that bad.

Does driving over rough roads/pot holes and the such screw up your car too?

I mean our roads aren’t perfect so we can’t expect perfect driving conditions.

Most cars today are built so that they suck. But otherwise if you regularly have your car maintenance and try to drive safely and not over exhaust your car, it should last a long time.

Despite all the noise surrounding skin cancer, dermatologists are certainly not all that concerned to see potential skin cancer patients when they have botox patients at the ready. “You are forbidden from coming back to this church” (<<<>>>)

Three prospective church goers attend a meeting with the clergy of a local church and ask to become members. The three, an older couple, a middle age couple and a young newlywed couple are told that to become members it is required that they abstain from sex for two full weeks and then return.

Two weeks pass and all three return and the clergyman asks each couple if they have fulfilled the requirement laid out at the first meeting.

The elderly gentleman says that they have and are ready to join the church.

The middle age couple advise that the first week was okay but during the second week the husband had to sleep on the couch. Nonetheless, they made it and are ready to join the church.

The newlyweds hang their heads and the husband says, “Well, father, my wife was bending over taking something from the freezer the day after our meeting and I couldn’t stop myself. I took her right on the spot.”

“I’m sorry,” says the clergyman to the young couple, “but, you are forbidden from coming back to this church.”

“I figured that,” says the husband, “cause we can’t go back to the grocery store either.”

Alright. So I have pale skin and I started tanning yesterday. I’m 13 and I know you’re thinking i’m too young but I moniter my tanning very closely. my mom is a nurse and knows all about the effects and everything so trust me, I won’t tan so much that I look black and fake. Anyways, I am tanning everyday for 4 days JUST TO GET STARTED.

I went
Yesterday: 4 min.
Today: 5 min.

and I want to continue like this
Monday: 5 min.
Tuesday: 6 min.

after this, I will slow down to 1 or 2 times a week until it’s warm enough for me to lay out. Then I won’t tan in the summer at all. how long and often should I go for to achieve and keep a nice warm (non fake looking) tan? And when fall and winter come, how long & often should i go? thanks!

The definition of infant mortality is defined as the number of deaths of infants (one year of age or younger) per 1000 live births. Why the sudden increase in infant deaths here in the U.S. and in other countries? What can we do to prevent infant mortality? What factors increase or decrease the chances of infant mortality? These are all questions that many journalists, medical professionals and families ask themselves. The United States is a technologicaly advanced country, yet infant mortality rates have been rising. The United States infant mortality rate is now comparable to Croatia, Lithuania, and Taiwan. The healthcare systems around the world need to take a good look at what is happening, after all the children are the future.
They United States is estimatedly ranked 180 for 2008 by CIA Factbook. There may be a reason as to why the United States has higher infant mortality rates. While the U.S. reports all cases of infant mortality, it has been suggested that other developed countries do not. Some countries also do not register babies who die within the first 24 hours after birth. There seems to be different definitions as to what counts as a live birth, depending on where you are in the world. The United States counts all births as live if they show any sign of life, regardless of prematurity or size. This includes what many other countries report as stillbirths. Compared to Austria and Germany, where the fetal weight must be at least 500 grams (1 pound) to count as a live birth. Also in other parts of Europe, such as Switzerland, the fetus must be at least 30 centimeters (12 inches) long. In Belgium and France, births at less than 26 weeks of pregnancy are registered as lifeless. These contradictions may make it hard to have accurate numbers of infant mortalitys.
The most common cause of infant mortality used to be dehydration and diarrhea, now thanks to Oral Rehydration Solution that is no longer the case. Currently pneumonia has taken the number one spot. Major causes of infant mortality in more developed countries include congenital malfunction , infection and SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). Infantcide, abuse, abandonment, and neglect also contribute to infant mortality.
Healthcare professionals say there is no one answer to the increase in infant mortality rates. One factor that seems to play a big role is the increase in premature births. In part due to Invitro fertilization, more multiple births are being reported each year than they have been in the past. With multiple births there is more of a risk for pre-term delivery. All pre-term and premature babies are at a higher risk for mortality. The gestational term for a baby now in the United States is 39 weeks, while a healthy gestational term is at least 40 weeks. There has been an increase in 34 to 37 week gestational term pregnancy’s within the last ten years.
Another factor for infant mortality rates in the United States is race and geographical location. Sadly African- Americans have much higher infant mortality rates than other ethnic groups. Some is in part due to poverty yet not all. Research tells us that the infant mortality rate among Puerto Ricans is 8.2, and for Native Americans, the rate is 9.1., while at the same time being only 5.1 for Central and South American immigrants. Infant mortality also seems to vary from state to state. Infant mortality seems to be higher in southeast states with the rate exceeding 7.5, yet states in the northeast and west coast have rates below 6.1.

I read/skimmed over it all, very good paper for information, the only thing is is that it kind of went no where. There was no like ending, or reason for all of the information. I’m not sure about the specifics for the assignment but it just seems like all you have are a lot of facts in paragraphs. Just say something about how it could be looked at by the health care systems or what could happen if changes were made. good luck
