Question by Rachel!: Which season is the sun its strongest in Michigan?
I know that question is worded awkwardly, but what I mean to ask is more so, when am I more likely to get a stronger sun burn as well? There have been times where I’ve laid out in the spring and gotten the worst burn all season. I know that it could just be the first time I was really exposing myself, but, my mom used to tell me it was stronger in the spring and I was wondering if that’s true, or what factors go into this? *don’t worry, I almost always wear sunblock, I’m not trying to get melanoma”

Definitely summer! That’s when Michigan is closest to the sun. I’d probably put it around the summer solstice, June 21.

You are just more vulnerable in the spring because you haven’t built up a tan yet. Also, if there is a wind the sun can be very strong but you don’t notice because you are not that hot.

I am abit worried that I am doing more harm than good, using different creams on my face. Do you need to use a day and night moisturiser and for my age, do I need anti aging that I have been using for a good while. I have fine lines in my cheeks and the usual crows feet and afew fine lines coming under my eyes. I have also noticed that the corners of my lips are starting to disappear abit, causing the corners of my mouth to droop slightly. I hope I havent done this damage with all these creams. I dont know if I just need a good lifting moisturiser or what. I need to use one good product and stick to it. I have been using Loreal revitalift day and night at the moment. I have also used Boots uplifting day and night but found that my skin was permantly greasy. Somedays I just use Boots hydrating moisturiser lotion which is nice on the skin. I am currently waiting for Arbonne anti aging. I am also permantly dark under my eyes. Nothing seems to work. causes white spots in corners of my eyes

I buy my mom Shilsedo…I think thats how you spell it.

My mom just turned 40 and was worried abot wrinkles areound the eyes and oily skin. Its a bit expensive but well worth it. I think its like $ 80 but it last for maybe 2 months. She loves it!

Sarnoff, sat down with the cast of MTVs hit show to discuss the dangers of tanning in an effort to put an end to their favorite motto “GTL”, which stands for Gym, Tanning, Laundry. Yes he had vitiligo but im not talking about that… there was reports he had skin cancer like back in May but i think it was a stupid rumor
I dont care about the colour of his skin i am no hater! I wish just wondering if any of the press had mentioned the supposed skin cancer

Recently, astronomers discovered a star that is rotating much faster than the sun. Now, imagine that these same astronomers discover a G2 star similar to the sun except that it showed very little rotation. Presuming that this slowly rotating star is the same age as the sun, the astronomers might also expect to observe which one of the following?

A sunspot cycle of less than 11 years.
A sunspot cycle equal to 11 years.
A sunspot cycle of greater than 11 years.

I think it would be greater than because the slower speed would cause the magnetic field to wrap slower and effectively break slower, causing less sun spots less frequently. Any other opinons?

i beleive sunspots are overheated spots on the sun and burn parts of what little land there is on the sun ^_^

First time the pain started to flare up in my index finger on the left while driving to a psychiatrist (which I was anxious about; anxiety disorders taking Lexapro; also stressed). My index began to twitch and tingled. Before I went I was writing for 2 hours (left handed), and playing guitar for about an hour.

Right now I’m dealing with numbness, pain (sort of a pinch-like pain), soreness and tingling in my left and somewhat tingling (pins and needle feeling) in my right hand. All of the symptoms are occurring on the top of both hands, and tingling on all of my fingers on the left (also sometimes a small shooting pain in my fingers. I have sore spots between the index and middle knuckles, and below the pinky knuckle. If something touches my forearm it feels like it’s getting worse. My left hand also cramps slightly. I was thinking that it could be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, as I play guitar and I’m left handed, but it’s unusual/near impossible for it to affect all of my fingers. I went to my physician and he wrote it off as a side effect from a lack of CO2 by hyperventilation, but without ordering any tests/consulting with a neurologist (He did tests on hand strength, reflexes, etc.). I’ve been breathing deeply and slowly since the appointment.

I’m extremely worried about my left hand since I basically do everything with my left. So I’m asking does anxiety/stress cause these effects normally or would there be a different cause. Thank you.

Age/Height/weight: 15, 5’11″, 155 lbs.

Normally anxiety would not cause the kind of symptoms you have going on but I would recommend getting another opinion as well to see what they think could be going on.

I turned 22 in June. Not sure if my age matters. But anyways, I was brushing my teeth today. After I rinsed my mouth with water when I got done brushing, I noticed my gums were red. You know when you cook a steak? You know how sometimes when steak can be bloody red? Well my gums were kinda red. At the TOP of my mouth is where it was red. It wasn’t red near my teeth. You have to lift my upper lip up in order to see the red. And if i pull my lower lip down yuo can see some dark red spots but my gums are not sore or anything. My mouth feels just fine. What should i do?

I cancelled my 6 month cleaning appointment because i’m no longer egilible for the dental insurance that my parents had for me cause of my age. So I applied for my own dental insurnace thruogh delta dental and it doesn’t go into affect until october 1st. It will cost me $ 90 to get a cleaning and the insurance will cover 60% if i wait till october 1st. what should i do? Just go and forget the insurance?
